Thanks for your question. I speak very little Spanish but I am learning quickly. I understand the base of the language since I studied Spanish in high school. Most people here in restaurants, stores and other shops do not speak much English. I was fortunate in that I met people in my first few days that were English speakers and have made the transition extremely easy. Going to the grocery store, ordering dinner, etc has not been a problem!
