The creators of SwapYourShop love to travel and we happen to know a lot of others that do too. So we created an exchange program for fellow creative professionals to temporarily swap lives with one another across the US or around the world. As a SwapYourShopper, you'll work inside a different company, but keep your current job.
As our site progresses, you'll be able to create a profile and view profiles of other SwapYourShoppers. You can then connect with each other to swap your lives: home, work space and anything else you can think of. You'll both need to get permission from your employers and work out a plan for collaboration across time zones.
The length of each swap is completely up to you and the person you swap with. Given visa restraints, we expect most swaps will last between 1-3 months.
SwapYourShop is currently in beta. We're working as hard as we can to get the site up and running. We expect profiles to be available by the end of 2009 which would allow ShopYourSwappers to connect with each other immediately. In the meantime, you can help us move faster by spreading the word and providing feedback at connect@swapyourshop.com.
